COVID-19

  • What is a green pass and do I need one?

From July 21st, a green pass will need to be provided for entry to all Paris Pass attractions.

A green pass is proof of full vaccination plus the required time after vaccination OR proof of a negative test less than 48 hours old. Attractions will accept both digital and physical proof, such as QR codes and vaccination certificates.

Please visit the government website for more information and have your green pass ready to be presented at each attraction, along with your Paris Pass, for entry.

  • How is COVID-19 impacting my upcoming travel plans with my Paris Pass?

Unfortunately, many sights and cities are currently closed for business. We advise you to check attraction websites for the most up-to-date information.

Please note that we are now offering the ability to extend your pass for up to 2 years from the date of purchase and refunds on unused passes up to 90 days after purchase.

If your travel plans have been negatively impacted by COVID-19 and you need further assistance with your booking, please email us using the form above. We will respond within 7 business days or less.

  • Should I purchase a pass now for an upcoming trip?

Absolutely! Our Paris Pass is available for advance purchase despite attractions being currently closed. If you purchase a pass now, you can have peace of mind that:

    - Passes are at the lowest prices of the season and you can start your experience any time within 2 years from the time of purchase

    - You can now obtain refunds on unused passes for up to 90 days after purchase. Within the first 14 days, you will receive a full refund. If your request falls between day 15 and day 90, your refund will be subject to a processing fee. See the Terms & Conditions for more information.

    - You are supporting the tourism recovery effort and helping our family of attraction partners!

  • How should I prepare for my upcoming trip?

We recommend you check the travel advisory from your local authority for travel planning.

However, we do advise checking opening times of attractions directly on the attraction website and if unsure we’re on hand to help through our various customer service channels, detailed above.

We also know that your future travel plans may change, that’s why we’re offering 90-day cancelation. Plus, you have up to 2 years to start using your pass – and you don’t have to commit to the date in advance. This means you can plan your sightseeing safely in the knowledge that you’re protected if things change.

  • Where can I get travel updates?

We recommend you monitor the local government’s website for updates on the situation on a local level, as well as checking the travel guidelines for your country.

  • How does The Paris Pass work?

The Paris Pass is designed to help save you money and time when visiting the capital. It’s simple and easy to use and combined with the digital guidebook and website, we can help you plan your visit to Paris.

The Paris Pass comes in 2, 3*, 4 and 6-day durations to suit all kinds of trips, from short weekend city breaks, to longer vacations. Watch our video to find out more.

*The 3-day Paris Pass comes with a 2-day Museum Pass.

The pass is a package made up of two elements: the Paris Museum Pass which gives you free entry to 50 of Paris’s most famous museums, and The Paris Pass, which provides free entry to Paris’s best attractions, tours and experiences.

  • Do I have to make reservations for attractions?

Certain attractions will require a reservation. If this is the case, you will find all booking information listed on our reservations page and the individual attraction pages on our website and app. Some advance reservations will require a pass number or order reference number to secure your booking. This will not activate your pass.

  • What are purse values?

Each pass is subject to a purse value, which is based on the duration of the pass.

The purse value is the maximum amount you can use based on the standard gate price for each attraction. For example, with the 2-day adult All-Inclusive Pass, you can visit as many attractions up to the total value of €250.

Here's a full breakdown of all purse values:

Benefits

  • Does The Paris Pass come with a guidebook?

Once you buy a Paris Pass you will receive instructions to download a digital guide that details every attraction's reservation instructions and getting in information.

  • Is there any benefit in buying the pass now?

If you purchase the Paris Pass in advance, online, then you can print it at home before you travel. This allows you to plan in advance and make an itinerary with the information provided to you in the digital guidebook.

Then, as soon as you arrive in Paris, you can start using your pass!

The Paris Pass will be valid for 2 years from the date of purchase.

Using your pass

  • How long is The Paris Pass valid for?

The Paris Pass is valid for the duration of the pass purchased; ie, 2, 3, 4 or 6 days. These days must be used on consecutive days.

Your pass will be activated as soon as you go to your first attraction so be aware that if your pass is activated in the evening, this will count as your first calendar day. Be sure to start using your pass early on the first day to make the most of it.

The Paris Pass is valid for 24 months from the date of purchase, so it makes the perfect gift for anyone planning to travel later in the year. Likewise, if you aren’t sure of when to plan your trip, you can purchase the pass in advance and with the help of the digital guidebook, start planning an itinerary before you go.

  • How do I activate my pass?

Your pass will activate when you visit your first attraction or when you redeem your Paris Museum Pass  whichever comes first during your trip.

The day your pass is activated will count as 'day one'. You should start using it straight away to take advantage of the great savings available for the duration of your pass.

  • Are the 2 day, 3 day, 4 day and 6 day passes for consecutive days?

Yes, the passes run on a consecutive day basis. If you have a 2-day Paris Pass and activate your pass on a Monday that will be included as the first day and your last day will be Tuesday.

Note: if you start using your pass in the late afternoon or evening that will still count as your first day.

  • What happens if I change the date of my trip to Paris?

Your Paris Pass is valid for two years from the date of purchase.

  • What happens if my plans change and I can’t/don’t use The Paris Pass?

For all customers that purchase passes from September 1 2020 onwards, you can now obtain refunds on unused passes for up to 90 days after purchase. See the Terms & Conditions for more information.

  • How long is my Paris Museum Pass valid for?

Your Paris Museum Pass part of the package is valid for the duration of the Paris Pass you selected – apart from 3-day Paris Pass holders who have a 2-day Museum Pass.
