Parisian "Goûter" with Waffles or Apple Pie near Opera district

Need a little sweet treat to keep you going? Pop into La Java in the Bourse neighbourhood, a short walk from the Opéra and the charming covered passages of the Grands Boulevards. Find a cosy spot inside or head out onto the terrace and discover the French tradition of goûter – an afternoon pause made for something delicious.

Take your pick between a freshly made waffle topped just the way you like it (Nutella included!) or homemade apple pie served with ice cream and silky caramel. Pair your treat with a warming glass of vin chaud or a comforting hot chocolate.

Usually enjoyed around 4pm, goûter is France's delicious answer to afternoon tea and the perfect excuse to slow down during a busy day of sightseeing. Sit back, enjoy a little indulgence and recharge before continuing your Paris adventure.
