About Ballon PanoraMagique at Disney Village
Built by AEROPHILE SAS, the PanoraMagique balloon carries up to 30 passengers on an exciting six-minute sky ride. The balloon has given several hundred thousand people a unique and unforgettable experience since its installation in 2005.
Did you know?
- The balloon with its basket, envelope and net weigh approximately 2 tonnes, but thanks to Archimedes' principle, a cubic meter of helium can lift 1 kg, so 6,000 cubic meters of helium can lift up to 6 tons.
- It has a capacity of up to 30 passengers (approximately 2.5 tons), making it the largest tethered balloon in the world, and keep 1.5 tons of lift in the cable to counter the force of the wind.
- The vessel is 35 meters high for 22.5 meters in diameter and rises up to 100 meters in altitude. In-flight, it can be seen for a distance of 20 kilometres.
- It is the least polluting aircraft in the world being powered by an electric winch!
