Unlocking the Secrets of Chateau de Fontainebleau

Stepping into the world of the magnificent Chateau de Fontainebleau, you'll quickly be captivated by its blend of history and beauty. Famous as a residence of French monarchs, this stunning Fontainebleau Palace is a treasure chest of art, culture, and royal heritage.

Experience the Fontainebleau Palace with a Day Pass

A Fontainebleau day pass with The Paris Pass® is your ticket to discovering its secrets. Wander through lavishly decorated rooms, admire breathtaking gardens, and let the spirit of centuries past enchant you. This Chateau Fontainebleau adventure will leave a lasting impression.

Napoleon famously described the Château de Fontainebleau as, "the work of centuries, the home of kings". He signed his first abdication here in 1814 and took leave of his army in the courtyard.

The interior of this stunning château is truly remarkable. Successive kings have left their marks on the furnishing, décor, paintings, tapestries and beautiful objects over the years, resulting in an overall feeling of seemingly endless galleries, halls, and boudoirs, each more sumptuous than the last.

Take a stroll through the château’s beautiful, famous gardens in both the French and English styles, and enjoy a stress-free sightseeing trip to Paris.
